Last March 18, the Department of Health (DOH) led by Bureau of Local Health Systems Development (BLHSD) Director Enrique Tayag, in collaboration with DOH Regional Offices of Western Visayas and Negros Island Region (NIR), distributed the TSeKaP (Tamang Serbisyo para sa Kalusugan ng Pamilya) equipment packages to all Barangay Health Stations, Rural Health Units, and Urban Health Centers for the improvement of primary health care services in the province of Negros Occidental.
Each package contains one (1) BP Apparatus, one (1) Littman stethoscope, two (2) non-contact thermometers, two (2) nebulizers, and one (1) dressing set. A total of 631 TSeKaP equipment packages were distributed to 32 LGUs of Negros Occidental.
Dr. Tayag acknowledged the contributions of the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) in the implementation of different DOH programs and said that the DOH will always support them. He also encouraged the Municipal Health Officers (MHOs) and BHWs to use the equipment properly and take care of it.
