TABUK CITY, Kalinga, Mar. 21(PIA) – – The Philhealth field office here continues to intensify its information and education campaign (IEC) in the municipalities to enlighten members and dependents on the programs, services and benefits the state-insurance is providing.
Jean Baawa of Philhealth said they are now saturating the municipalities of Rizal, Pinukpuk and parts of Tanudan in the dissemination of the ALAGA KA or Alamin at Gamitin Para sa Maayos na Buhay program.
Philhealth has already reached five municipalities and this city. Series of IECs were conducted in local government units with PhilHealth members.
The ALAGA KA campaign is an advocacy for PhilHealth members to know the programs and services, and privileges under the universal health care program and utilize the services being offered to them.
Part of the info campaign is the distribution of Membership Data Records or MDR and the conduct of survey on rural health units about the implementation of primary care benefits.
Meanwhile, Baawa reported they have already attained the universal coverage of the Kalinga population under Philhealth by over 124% coverage against the 95% target set by the program. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
